![]() ![]() That said, the Magic Butter machine does cost less. Plus, the end product from the LVO machines has a more neutral and, therefore, versatile flavor. It’s also possible that the FX’s heat settings and heating elements have some awesome mojo I’m going to discover in coming weeks. Overall, there is no question that the LVO machines make the infusion process far simpler and more effective than that of the Magical Butter machine. The Levo 2 effectively does your straining for you, and it’s possible (I don’t have THC testing equipment) that the Levo 2’s magnetic stirring during infusion wrings some small bit more out of the herb. OTOH, as far as I can tell so far using it, it’s the most versatile and easy to clean. The FX is, I think, is currently the priciest option out of the ones you’re thinking about. If you want to keep it on your countertop, it looks pretty, and like the Levo 2, most visitors wouldn’t think it was a cannabis appliance unless they were already familiar with it. If you’re not going to keep it on your counter, it only takes seconds to put it in its case and put the case wherever you like. It has no minimum amount of herb, while offering a 4 oz maximum too. If I were going to get just one of these, I’d choose the FX for its versatility. I have a Magic Butter Machine, and was pleased with the purchase. In addition, you can find it on sale, or versions of it, for less than 100. ago You might want to save some money and look into the Instant Pot. It bakes too, interestingly enough, but I think I’ll stick to my actual oven for that! 12 12 comments Best Add a Comment ahabpope 4 yr. It’s also, oddly enough, the most easily portable, since it only has three parts (the lid, the oven, and the base), all of which can go into the FX’s case, which has a handle. The Ardent FX is a dream for large batches. It can’t hold a full ounce at once, but its ease of use and charming looks on the counter make it the top choice, IMO, for countertop cannabis decarb/infusion appliance. I have a Levo 2 and love it for small batches. ![]() It’s got an impressively large oven, is dishwasher-safe (except for the base, which doesn’t really need cleaning), has a separate setting for CBD (yay!), and can handle concentrates without a sleeve - but it’s got the same “set it and forget it” way to use it. Make sure also to check out the brand new Ardent FX machine (same people as make the Nova).
